Hello everybody! I have posted here only a few times - I am mainly one of the dreaded "lurkers" LOL! Anyways, I just wanted to pick brains quickly in regards to digital scrapbooking? I apologize if there is already a thread started elsewhere. I looked and could not find much. Anyways, Does anyone here do alot of digital scrapbooking? I'm very interested in getting started. I've seen all kinds of websites with lots of gorgeous graphics and ideas, etc. My problem is really where to even start? Do I need special software to download designs into? Lately I've been using Picasa as a photo editor - is that something that can be used for digital scrapping as well? I keep seeing Photoshop mentioned, but I wanted to avoid it for the time being due to the expense and what seems like a BIG learning curve! Anyways, if there is a better place I should be posting, please forgive my ignorance. And thanks in advance for any insight!

making my own digital ribbon? help please
Good Afternoon I was wondering if anyone knew how to make your own digital ribbon, so that I may print my designs on ribbon, to create my own hairbows using my custom graphics.. I have spent countless hours of research, and the only thing I have come up with is that if I want to use a 1.5 inch ribbon I need to make my graphic no larger then 1 inch.. However, I notice some graphics are mirrored.. Any help would be so great ful... Thanks, Chris Ps. I use Paint Shop Pro if this helps

Anyone going to CHA?
I am so excited to be going. We leave Tuesday morning. My sister, daughter and nephew are going with me and we are taking a day to go to Disney. I dont know if I am more excited to see all the goodies at CHA or to see my daughter and nephew's excitement at Disney. They are 9 and 10, so I think that is just a great age to go to Disney. Any must sees at Disney World? Anyone going to be at CHA? I am planning to attend Wednesday for the entire day. I wish I had a second day there but I wont. So I am hitting all the stamp booths first, and scrapbooking thereafter. I cannot wait to see the new Basic Grey of course. A Quick Question about ai files.
I have a quick question about ai files. I design patterns in svg files and post them for free on my blog. I had a lady ask if I could also make ai files for my patterns. My question is. Do I have to have adobe illustrator to save the files in ai. Or are there any other (cheaper) programs that allow me to save in ai format. Thanks. Getting ready to begin book for friend who passed.......how????
A very good friend of ours passed away in June from complications from her diabetes....She left behind 2 young boys...Tanner, 11 and Charlie Tucker, 2......Her mom is also our MeeMee....She was my mom's chemo nurse back in 1990-1992 or so..... I asked her to get photos, cards, drawing, report cards...anything that she had reminiscent of Whitney and let me do a book for the boys...I think tomorrow she is going to begin to bring me things. This is very bittersweet for me. I have done books for my own mom, grandma and others....but knowing that this book is for Whitneys boys, one of whom wont remember her except from what he sees and is told, almost blows me away. I also do not want this book to be sad....I want it to be colorful, happy almost singing, like she always did!!! How do I do that without compromising the brevity of her passing?? Any help would be great! all of my other books were for me and my family but this one is for another family....im not being paid so im not worrying about them wanting a refund or anything like that....I just want to do Whitney proud.....and at the same time, keep the sincere integrity, love and honor she deserves! Who are these Cricut Sellers on eBay?
There are several "sellers" names on eBay that are selling Cricut cartridges. I've ordered from a few of them and realized that they are all tracing back to some sort of sales company. I had a problem once with a cartridge that I waited over a month to get and never received. I tried to get them to refund me, got the run-around, had to file, et et. What I'm trying to figure out is- Who are these people? Does anyone know if this is actually through Provocraft? Overseas? Thanks for any information.

I'm bummin'! Just got done watching "Dirty Dancing" and am so sad that Patrick Swayze has died! He was such an amazing, talented dancer/actor and was so inspiring as he battled his pancreatic (sp) cancer. He was so hot as "Johnny Castle" and, in my opinion, made male dancers and dancing in general awesome again! I will miss his moves and smile! We love you Patrick. And, "Ditto". My heart and prayers are with his wife, Lisa. Family and friends.

Anyone use Copic Markers? Are they worth the $$$$
Hello- I was just wondering if anyone uses the copic markers and if you think they are worth the big pricetag....I'm trying to decide if I should invest in a set or just buy a few. I was wondering how long they last and how well they work in your projects... also- what types of projects do you use them for? Just stamps- or other artwork and craft projects... Hi, Just found this board, and wondering if y'all can give a newbie some advice. I've been selling layouts for about a year to earn some extra $. I love to scrapbook and have enjoyed having others buy my layouts. I need some advice. A buyer bought 5 of my BIN layouts on May 20, and still hasn't paid. I've sent her 2 invoices and 5 other emails, and still no payment. She is a Powerseller, and I know she's been on ebay because she has had some auctions close and has bought other stuff during this time. She hasn't even had the courtesy to respond to any of my messages. Should I file a dispute? I don't want to p.o. her and have her give me bad feedback. What would you do? Converting cutting files???
Hi, I have a question for you experienced gurus of cutting files. I presently have a KNK and a Cricut Expression. I am toying with the idea of buying SCAL and selling my KNK. Here is my question... All of the files I have purchased, will it be possible to convert them into the SVG files? I Love both machines, but can't see why I should keep both. I have a virus/worm in my email that came from who knows where and has attacked my hotmail. It sent a New Shopping Site message out to everyone in my address book and then it deleted my address book. I no longer have your emails. They're gone. But.... Don't send me any emails until I get this thing out of my computer. I am sorry if you got it and the person who accidently sent it to me is probably sorry too. I am still trying to locate it in my messages. Doing a scan right now. These things are no ones fault except for the idiot who created it in the first place. Also there is a new spam going around called TAGGED. Do not click on that or sign up for that. A friend of mine did and she is now on their list for spam. She might even have to change her email. It is possible that this virus came from her emails. I just don't know yet. This infuriates me! I went to my hotmail on MSN and it got in there and somehow posted a reply message in my "vacation" settings too. You would think that MSN would be more on top of things like that. So I changed my password and the settings and hopefully my virus scan will find it. Auuuugggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! If all the hackers would get real jobs the world would be a better place.

Looking for a specific die
My daughter got me started in buying scrapbook dies in Jan of this year I have become obsessed with trying to collect all the green, yellow and red dies. I have asked every where including sizzix. com for a master list. It does not seam to exist. I have started my own from information on ebay listings. I now have to the best of my knowledge all the yellow except the sand/snow mound. I have bid 20.00 $ on it but have been outbid every time. Needing prayers concerning new scrapbook business
A couple of friends and I are in the very very early process of opening a scrapbook store. (praying about it right now.) We live in a town of about 4,500 with many smaller surrounding towns nearby. The nearest scrapbook store from here is 60 miles away. There is a HL and Jo's about 50 miles away. We strongly believe a scrapbook store would thrive here as there are many people in this area who love to scrapbook. We are hoping to be able to go into this debt free. There is a house we are looking at that the owner is asking 65,000, which is a really good deal, because this house is on the corner of two major roads in town. Then we'd need more $$$ for fix ups, and gathering an inventory. We are looking into getting grants to start this business up. We are wanting to make this a Christian Scrapbook Store and sell christian scrapbook supplies as well as other major companies. We decided on a Christian Scrapbook store, because we feel we should keep God in the center of our business. What would you do
with an album approximately 5 x 7 size that has 38 pages. It is a wire bound, paper board cover that I put red, white and blue paper on the front and back. I wanted to put red, white and blue patriotic looking papers in it BUT it is 38 pages is that TOO many? It would accomodate 4 x 6 or 5 x 5 mats for pictures. Thanks for your help Dawn

This is totally off the topic of scrapbooking, but since I know a good portion of you on the scrapbooking board I wanted to ask here. I HAD a friend, she isnt an internet acquaintance, I actually know her, she just happens to also sell here. To make a long story short, we had a falling out several weeks ago. At this time, several of my acquaintances (some sellers, some arent) have contacted me via my personal email (which isnt even registered to ebay) as well as a social networking site that I am active on asking me "why" she and I are no longer friends. So I told them. The reason we had the falling out has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with ebay or even our craft, it was very much a personal matter. Now it seems, since she's been made aware that I "talked about her" she is threatening to turn ME into ebay for harassment. Can she do this? Since nothing was EVER said about her anywhere on ebay regarding anything whatsoever to do with ebay? Can she turn me in to this site for harassment just because she is mad at me for confiding in my online friends on my private email? Any advice/answers about this will be much appreciated, I am totally flipping out about this. She has already had one of my listings cancelled when we first had the falling out for using a word in my title I apparently wasnt supposed to use. So I'm unsure as to what ebay will and will not do. Pay Pal does not protect it's sellers. A while back I posted that I was having trouble with a international package. The buyer paid in a timely manner. I shipped it same day through Pay Pal to the UK It had tracking and was attempted to deliver twice. There hasn't been an update in a long time. Pay Pal yanked the funds right out of my account before they even looked into it. Today they ruled against me even though I had proof I mailed it. I am out the product, the price it went for, shipping, fees, and the amount pay pal charged me for the dispute. This is all totaling about $170.00. Who knows she may be home the next time they try to deliver and she'll have the product too. I am not sure what else I could have done to protect myself. Be careful with international sale I guess.

OT....Does anyone know of..........
any Cocker or Cocker mix puppies close to Lexington, Kentucky. We actually live in Richmond, KY not too far from Lexington. We just lost our Pepper dog 3 weeks ago and we miss her so much. I would be interested in finding a black or mixed color with black in a Cocker Spaniel or a Cocker spaniel mix. Or maybe even another spaniel of some kind. Pepper was a Cocker/Sheltie/Chow mix (small amount of chow) and she would have been 12 years old this fall. She was very smart and left a big hole in our home. She was full of life and always made her presence known. She was just a great dog. I know you all have so many contacts and I've been around here for a few years on the scrapbooking board, so just thought I'd check with you all first. I'm not interested in paying a lof of money for a pup. Just giving a dog a good home and lot's of love. Thanks for any suggestions you all may have.

Printers/printing and all things fun
(ok, so not all things fun ) I'm looking to get a wide format printer. I would like to be able to print my scrap pages in their 12X12 format. I currently have an 8 year old HP photo printer, which btw I LOVE if i could convert it to wide/large format, i'd do it in a heart beat!!! LOL REALLY!!! At any rate, i belive i paid close to $300 for the printer (no i can't actaully remember, but it was the best of the best when i bought it). When I got the new computer i didn't get a new printer b/c i was afraid i'd not be happy with whatever i got. Then when i got into digital scrapping, i realized I want a wide/large format so I can print them 12X12. So what do you use? Do you like it? Pros/Cons? Scissor Suggestions
Some time ago (don't remember how long) there was a thread about scissors. Best brand, why you liked or disliked ... recommend...etc. I remember seeing this information so I went through 5 pages of threads before giving up. (Man there are a lot of buried threads.) Is there any way to warn sellers to avoid a bidder? I just got 27 negs from someone who dished out a bunch of lies in the negs, etc. etc. Ebay will not remove the negs even though I can prove some of them are outright LIES based on messages she sent me thru Ebay Messages. Claimed she spent THOUSANDS with me, always paid (Yea, almost a month later after we practically groveled for payment). We were stupid enuf to put up with this for months and months and when we finally had enuf this is what happened. Need some advice regarding scrapbooking
Hi everyone! I recently was searching for angel buttons. I did a search in "all categories". I found some that I liked and bought all five lots. They buttons are very cute and arrived very fast. The all came in zip lock bags and one I opened I noticed that they did not have any shanks. So...no big deal, I thought, I will just email the seller and get this fixed. I start getting the third degree about these (mind you this was only ONE lot of five and only $2.25). Her questioning me surprised me. I said that I was happy to return them, as they seemed to be damaged to me. That apparently set her off. She said there was a BIG difference between "damaged" and no shanks. I just was not getting it. I asked her to pay the return shipping and either replace or refund if she did not have any more. (here is where the scrapbooking part comes in): She replied that these were sold ad scrapbooking "buttons", that the shanks were supposed to be removed, and that she said that she would decide if they were undamaged AFTER she saw them...that she packed them personally and that she didn't believe that the shanks were not there when I got them... WOW!!!!! Is that true? I didn't realize that I bought a scrapbooking-only product. If you bought buttons with shanks and you got them without the shanks, would that be a NON issue? In 12 years on ebay (I have more than one ID)...this is the first time I ever got anything like this from ANY seller. I have decided to just let Paypal handle this (and I am still happy to return these, but she has created serious mistrust that she will refund appropriately). I do not do scrapbooking and cannot use "buttons" that have no way to be used as buttons.

Need ideas of what to include in an make your own card tin for charity
Hello Everyone, I have created an altered card tin for a silent auction that raises money for two charities: Share the Spirit Holiday Program and Sponsor a Family Program. I have already created about 15 cards and am planning on including some blank cards along with some supplies so they can create their own cards. I need help with what to include? I was thinking: buttons, Prima flowers, ribbon, but am stuck with what else. I am also planning on cutting some die cuts; but stuck with what types/shapes? SVG LAYERS
SCAL (sure cuts a lot) has just been upgraded to SCAL 2 which will allow you to ungroup your svg files as long as they are created in a "SVG LAYER" format.....this is so cool!! It also allows you to create layers in the scal program for making board books. I just bought the up-grade from craftedge and I am so excited!!!! A tutorial for ungrouping is on the blog....but you have to use a SVG LAYER file in order for the ungroup option to work. www.myscrapchick.blogspot.com

Event themed paper bag albums
I see that many paper bag albums sell on here that have specific themes, i.e., Mother's Day right now. I was wondering. Has anyone tried to make albums and sell them at craft shows? Perhaps, school mascot and colors, fishing tournament, golf tournament, State track meet, etc... I have an idea but wanted some feedback before I spent hours making the books. I am writing this here in our forum as opposed to the general one as you are the one whose feedback I am reading and whose feedback matters......... I understand how feedback works, so even though I think a positive feedback should only be left in really good circumstances and neutral should be left if everything went as expected, I know we have to continue with the positive level for everything that doesn't go poorly. Having said that, can we (buyers) keep our feedbacks informative? "Great eBayer" doesn't tell me much. "Loved the item" doesn't tell me much about my item if it not the same. "item as described" "shipped the next day" "communicated well when I had a problem" Those things tell me what I should be ready to expect. I am not a seller, so I can't comment on what you all would like which I am sure needs to be balanced with the number of feedbacks some of you have to leave (based on the number of items you are selling). What do you think?

This has nothing to do with scrapbooking..or EBAY for that matter. My cousin got a phone call telling her that money has been mistakenly withdrawn from her bank account. He did not give his name, where he works or anything else. He told her that he wanted to put the money back into her account and all he needed was the account number. My cousin said that he needed to speak to her husband and he tried to talk her out of putting him on the phone. She went to get him and this guy hung up. She reported it to her bank, so that the bank could keep a watch on her account. Just thought that I would share. Some people can be caught off guard and the thought of money being taken out of their account freaks them out, and sometimes do not think. Michelle

Inexpensive Ink Pads
I was just wondering what ink pads you all use. I don't have a HUGE stamp assortment, but I do have some and want to expand my ink pad collection. I currently have hot pink, brown, red and green.... lol... Not a huge assortment. So, I was just wondering what you all use. I've used Stampin' Up and Close to My Heart and love them both, but I don't want to spend that much.... I've looked on eBay and "Ink it Up" seems to be a very cheap brand. Has anyone used it? I bought a cheap, black ink pad from Big Lots before and it was spongy... which didn't work well at all for doing edges of paper. I like the kind that are like, cloth on top. Know what I mean? How to Unstick the Stickles
I am not sure if I made the correct title for my problem, but I am hoping that some of you will be able to advise me on this. I have recently purchased a bunch of stickles bottles (smaller size), some of my collection I purchased a couple of months ago and some I just purchased a couple of weeks ago. When I try to squeeze them to use them, I am getting a lot of glue and having a hard time getting the glitter part out. I have thought of cutting the piece where it comes out- but then I would not get the thinner line that I like. I have tried puting a pin/needle into it to push some of it back - but many of these bottles still won't seem to work. What do you guys do to fix this problem? I just received this today and am not sure if its true or not but passing it on in case it is. Jury Duty Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us take the summons for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of scam has surfaced. Fall for it and your identity could be stolen, reports CBS. In this con, someone calls pretending to be a court official who threateningly says a warrant has been issued for your arrest because you didn't show up for jury duty. The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Sometimes they even ask for credit card numbers. Give out any of this information and ....Bingo! Your identity has just been stolen. The scam has been reported so far in 11 states. This scam is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they're with the court system. The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud. Pass this on. I checked Snopes and this is for real. I think this is just amazing! I sent my MIL a pair of expensive earrings in a darling Mother's Day band aid tin (got that on ebay). I put it in one of those small Priority Boxes but didn't seal it, just in case I wanted to add something. Later I handed it to my DH and told him to take it to the PO and make sure it went 2 day mail. Of course being a DH all he heard was "mail" so that's what he did! Dropped it in the mailbox, no postage, not sealed! Believe it or not that package got from Las Vegas to Illinois in 3 days, with no postage, not sealed, expensive earrings still inside! I love scrapbooking paper and all the pretty patterns so I decided to try other things with it besides layouts.I have made cards,right now i'm using one as background for my pic's in my store, wrapping paper for small gifts,die-cuts,tags,background for small pictures in frames,vase covers,place mat's you can throw away or cover with clear contact paper for a more permentant mat and they can also be shredded in a paper shredder for gift baskets and gift bags.What other uses have any of you came up with?

Hi all I am new to this board thing but I have a question . I sell premade disney related scrapbook pages ...you now has the paper piecing or stickers or embellishments from the companies that sell the stuff at the stores along with real photos of the characters from disneyworld or disneyland . Someone e-mailed me and said Disney legal department is contacting ebay and shutting down the sellers and the stores and seeking money from these sellers for illegally selling their images on products ? HAs anyone heard this ? This other sellers has closed her store as of today ?? Any rumors or news would be great !!

Hi y'all. Hope y'all are doing good and that you are finally enjoying the spring weather as I am. Anyways, I went to Mich@els store this morning to check out the new M@rtha S. new line. I was wanted to buy the ribbon storage with my 40% coupon. Turns out that I didn't read the fine print and that we are not allow to use the coupon to purhcase the MS line. OH oh oh, I was ticked! I told the cashier that they will have a hard time sellin' those products without being able to use the coupon. I told her that I will not buy it without my coupon and left. I live in Utah and a store called Roberts Crafts which is owned by Provo Craft is having a big Mother's Day sale. They are selling some Cricut cartridges for $25 dollars starting tomorrow (Tuesday). If any of you ladies would like one, I would be glad to pick them up for you. The cartridges are -Stamped, -Mini Monograms - Celebrations -Tags, Bags, Boxes and Christmas Cheer. Link has 6 diffrent cart that they are selling for $25. I ordered Mini Monograms but they were out of Celebrations. I also ordered Doodle Charms and Opposites Attract for $39.99 each. For some reason their website didn't have that as the posted price in their checkout. However, when I called and ordered that was the price I was given. I think the sale ends tomorrow. I paid a little over $8 to ship all 3.

Another Martha question
Okay, we're definitely giving her more publicity than we should be (LOL), but I do have a question regarding her new line. Why would she make an 18x18 size book? I get it that there isn't that size out there, so it's new and different, and then of course you have to buy her products to fit it in and all, but how could you even lift that size once you get a bunch of pages in it, and how can you fit it on your shelf (probably too big), and too big for your coffee table. I just don't get it. Anyone have any thoughts on why she created that?

How long do you wait for payment?
I have 2 auctions that I have not received payment for. I just started selling in February and am new to all this, but all my other payments were made with paypal and these 2 people claim to have sent money orders for auctions that ended Apr. 22 and April 28. My auction states that payment is due within 5 days and that you should contact me if you send a money order. Well, I never heard anything so I sent emails and one told me she was going to pay over a week ago and the other said she sent it last monday. How long do you wait and what should I do? I have sent friendly reminder notices and they just tell the checks in the mail. Thanks p.s. I see why some people only take Paypal - will I turn people away if I only offer paypal?Anne >

I have a webstore already but am looking for something very cheap or free to host another website which I will use for pictures of my work, possibly blogs but would like something that has a shopping cart too, just in case I want to set it up to do business in the future. Creative suggestions for lumpy bumpy pages without protectors
I know there is alot of creativity on this board,so here is my question. Have any of you thought of a way to crete a scrapbook with lots of 3D embellishments without the protective sleeves to slip your pages in? Some I've purchased or so beautiful and filled with lots of stuff, that I would rather discard the protection of the sleeve for the page to be seen as is, not behind the sleeve? Pages are already 12 X 12 so can't be trimmed to fit the slightly smaller Creative Memories pages which I could tape to. Have any of you put cardboard in the sleeve, and then glue the embellished page on top of the sleeve? What about cutting the hole section out of the sleeve and just glueing the holey part onto it, and then putting it into a loose leaf notebook? Any suggestions you have tried , Please share. Thanks.

Needing prayers concerning new scrapbook business
A couple of friends and I are in the very very early process of opening a scrapbook store. (praying about it right now.) We live in a town of about 4,500 with many smaller surrounding towns nearby. The nearest scrapbook store from here is 60 miles away. There is a HL and Jo's about 50 miles away. We strongly believe a scrapbook store would thrive here as there are many people in this area who love to scrapbook. We are hoping to be able to go into this debt free. There is a house we are looking at that the owner is asking 65,000, which is a really good deal, because this house is on the corner of two major roads in town. Then we'd need more $$$ for fix ups, and gathering an inventory. We are looking into getting grants to start this business up. We are wanting to make this a Christian Scrapbook Store and sell christian scrapbook supplies as well as other major companies. We decided on a Christian Scrapbook store, because we feel we should keep God in the center of our business. What would you do
with an album approximately 5 x 7 size that has 38 pages. It is a wire bound, paper board cover that I put red, white and blue paper on the front and back. This is totally off the topic of scrapbooking, but since I know a good portion of you on the scrapbooking board I wanted to ask here. I HAD a friend, she isnt an internet acquaintance, I actually know her, she just happens to also sell here. To make a long story short, we had a falling out several weeks ago. At this time, several of my acquaintances (some sellers, some arent) have contacted me via my personal email (which isnt even registered to ebay) as well as a social networking site that I am active on asking me "why" she and I are no longer friends. So I told them. The reason we had the falling out has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with ebay or even our craft, it was very much a personal matter. Now it seems, since she's been made aware that I "talked about her" she is threatening to turn ME into ebay for harassment. Can she do this? Since nothing was EVER said about her anywhere on ebay regarding anything whatsoever to do with ebay? Can she turn me in to this site for harassment just because she is mad at me for confiding in my online friends on my private email? Any advice/answers about this will be much appreciated, I am totally flipping out about this. She has already had one of my listings cancelled when we first had the falling out for using a word in my title I apparently wasnt supposed to use. Pay Pal does not protect it's sellers. A while back I posted that I was having trouble with a international package. The buyer paid in a timely manner. I shipped it same day through Pay Pal to the UK It had tracking and was attempted to deliver twice. There hasn't been an update in a long time. Pay Pal yanked the funds right out of my account before they even looked into it. Today they ruled against me even though I had proof I mailed it. I am out the product, the price it went for, shipping, fees, and the amount pay pal charged me for the dispute. This is all totaling about $170.00. Who knows she may be home the next time they try to deliver and she'll have the product too. I am not sure what else I could have done to protect myself. Be careful with international sale I guess.

OT....Does anyone know of..........
any Cocker or Cocker mix puppies close to Lexington, Kentucky. We actually live in Richmond, KY not too far from Lexington. We just lost our Pepper dog 3 weeks ago and we miss her so much. I would be interested in finding a black or mixed color with black in a Cocker Spaniel or a Cocker spaniel mix. Or maybe even another spaniel of some kind. Pepper was a Cocker/Sheltie/Chow mix (small amount of chow) and she would have been 12 years old this fall. She was very smart and left a big hole in our home. She was full of life and always made her presence known. She was just a great dog. I know you all have so many contacts and I've been around here for a few years on the scrapbooking board, so just thought I'd check with you all first. (ok, so not all things fun ) I'm looking to get a wide format printer. I would like to be able to print my scrap pages in their 12X12 format. I currently have an 8 year old HP photo printer, which btw I LOVE if i could convert it to wide/large format, i'd do it in a heart beat!!! LOL REALLY!!! At any rate, i belive i paid close to $300 for the printer (no i can't actaully remember, but it was the best of the best when i bought it). When I got the new computer i didn't get a new printer b/c i was afraid i'd not be happy with whatever i got. Then when i got into digital scrapping, i realized I want a wide/large format so I can print them 12X12. So what do you use? Do you like it? Pros/Cons? Scissor Suggestions
Some time ago (don't remember how long) there was a thread about scissors. Best brand, why you liked or disliked ... recommend...etc. I remember seeing this information so I went through 5 pages of threads before giving up. (Man there are a lot of buried threads.) Got burnt in jewelry, bidder is now into scrapbooking
Is there any way to warn sellers to avoid a bidder? I just got 27 negs from someone who dished out a bunch of lies in the negs, etc. etc. Ebay will not remove the negs even though I can prove some of them are outright LIES based on messages she sent me thru Ebay Messages. Claimed she spent THOUSANDS with me, always paid (Yea, almost a month later after we practically groveled for payment). We were stupid enuf to put up with this for months and months and when we finally had enuf this is what happened. Let's list the initials for our selling group and a word or two about the type of items you sell in your group. (For example: altered items, paper piecing, page layouts, tags, tear bears or packaged products, etc.) Do a cut and paste so we keep all the group initials on one page. I have approximately 75 little wooden shapes (such as Hearts, Baby rattles, Bottles, Santa Faces, Christmas trees, etc.) that are very small (about the size of your thumb) that I would like to get rid of. I have used these as scrapbook embellishments but think they are primarly used to embellish wooden photo frames. (They retail for about $.25 each at M's and J's.) Need some advice regarding scrapbooking
Hi everyone! I recently was searching for angel buttons. I did a search in "all categories". I found some that I liked and bought all five lots. They buttons are very cute and arrived very fast. The all came in zip lock bags and one I opened I noticed that they did not have any shanks. So...no big deal, I thought, I will just email the seller and get this fixed. I start getting the third degree about these (mind you this was only ONE lot of five and only $2.25). Her questioning me surprised me. I said that I was happy to return them, as they seemed to be damaged to me. That apparently set her off. She said there was a BIG difference between "damaged" and no shanks. I just was not getting it. I asked her to pay the return shipping and either replace or refund if she did not have any more. (here is where the scrapbooking part comes in): She replied that these were sold ad scrapbooking "buttons", that the shanks were supposed to be removed, and that she said that she would decide if they were undamaged AFTER she saw them...that she packed them personally and that she didn't believe that the shanks were not there when I got them... WOW!!!!! Is that true? I didn't realize that I bought a scrapbooking-only product. If you bought buttons with shanks and you got them without the shanks, would that be a NON issue? In 12 years on ebay (I have more than one ID)...this is the first time I ever got anything like this from ANY seller. I have decided to just let Paypal handle this (and I am still happy to return these, but she has created serious mistrust that she will refund appropriately). I do not do scrapbooking and cannot use "buttons" that have no way to be used as buttons.

Do any of you promote your ebay sales on other sites like facebook, myspace, indiepublic, etc.? I am seeing more and more people (ebay sellers) promoting their ebay sales over there. They link to their ebay sales, post pics of their listings etc. Might be something that we all should try. Whaddayathink? I don't know if we can post our off ebay identities here on the boards, but it would be nice if we could so that we can find each other over there. --

Someone else using/stole my Listing Photo...What should I do?
Hello Everyone, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what should I do about it? if anything. I was looking at some auctions listed and noticed that someone else had pictures that were just like mine. So I looked at the auction and sure enough they were mine. I looked at their other items and noticed that there was about 3-4 different auctions with my pictures. The only reason it is really easy to tell is that I have used my logo in the center of my die cuts along with the watermarking in the corner that is provided by Ebay. If it was some of my dies listed I would not mind as much, but it is the die cuts that I have created myself. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thank in advance, Jenni

Cricut Cartrudge Missing 10 BEST Designs!!!
Has anyone else gotten the New Life's A Beach Cricut cartridge? I just got it and in the TITLES there is a whole bottom row of designs missing. I thought that there was something wrong with my book or my cartridge because Oh My Crafts has the designs advertised and The saying Life's A Beach" which is stated as being on the cart. is not even on there. I am just wondering if any of you have gotten this cartridge > I had watched it on line since it had been released and then when I got it it is such a disappointment that it has 10 Summer time very useful phrases that are not even on the cartridge. Trouble with a International Shipment
I shipped an Item to the U.K. I used Pay Pal Shipping. It had tracking Thank God!!! They tried to deliver it twice and could not. She formed a claim and Pay Pal yanked the money from my account. Has this happened to anyone? How long did it take to resolve? What was the outcome? I answered all her emails promptly and kept giving her the tracking info. I told her she needed to go to her postal system and find the package. Instead she filed a dispute. Any advice??

What do u use to glue metal charms down?
I know y'all love Fabric Tac. I say to myself everytime I use it now, "the girls luv Fabric Tac and so do I". I'm bringing out unfinished projects out of the moth balls and get them finished before starting new ones. I have a metal can (are those still popular?). I have metal charms I want to paste on the paper but I don't have any E6000. What do u use? My choices: Fabric Tac, Tacky Glue, Diamond Glaze or I can buy something better. Dawn

Hi, I posted yesterday about the ScrapBox WorkBox. I just wanted to see if anyone has this product, and how they feel about it? I love the looks and the choices of finishes! The canvas totes that are included look great. I also like the foldable desk that is built right into the unit. Does anyone have this product? How do you like it? It looks to me like a scrap collector like myself could fit everything in one convenient place! Please give me your opinions and comments. I would love to hear what others think about the product!

Does anyone use a different auction lister than activia? I don't know about you but I do not want to pay their fees that are going to start. I pay enough to ebay already. Any ideas out there, I would love to hear them.. I use a mac, so I need a lister that is mac compatible also.

Perfume Smelling Paper
I am very frustrated. I just received an order of paper that I need for a special order and I open up the package and it all smells so strongly of perfume that my throat starts swelling up and I have to take the package out to my garage. I have been waiting for the baseball paper so I can to my special order and now I will have to wait for the smell to go away and I don't even know if it will. I just wanted to scream!!!!! All of my stores here are out of stock on what I need. Any ideas on how to get the smell out faster???? I have such horrible allergies to scents and chemicals I can't even have it in the house!!!!! I emailed the seller about it. I gave her a positive feedback because there wasn't anything wrong with the paper or the shipping - just the perfume smell. I don't think most people think about people being as allergic as I am. Sorry to go on and on about this but I am so upset now I have to email my lady who did the special order to let her know it will be another week before I get her pages done

Hi, Just found this board, and wondering if y'all can give a newbie some advice. I've been selling layouts for about a year to earn some extra $. I love to scrapbook and have enjoyed having others buy my layouts. I need some advice. A buyer bought 5 of my BIN layouts on May 20, and still hasn't paid. I've sent her 2 invoices and 5 other emails, and still no payment. She is a Powerseller, and I know she's been on ebay because she has had some auctions close and has bought other stuff during this time. She hasn't even had the courtesy to respond to any of my messages. Should I file a dispute? I don't want to p.o. her and have her give me bad feedback. What would you do? Converting cutting files???
Hi, I have a question for you experienced gurus of cutting files. I presently have a KNK and a Cricut Expression. I am toying with the idea of buying SCAL and selling my KNK. Here is my question... All of the files I have purchased, will it be possible to convert them into the SVG files? I Love both machines, but can't see why I should keep both. Anyone ever convert the KNK files to the SVG files? THX Tammie
