gepaq or HP laptops are very popular and a huge number of them are available for sale on okay. Many are off-lease and what this means is they will no longer have a Hard drive and usually will not have a Hard Drive caddy or sled that must be used to mountg the drive into the laptop. The reason this seems to happen often is the the gepany taking the laptop off-lease will remove the drive for security reasons. Before purchasing a gepaq (or other) laptop without these parts, make sure you understand the costs involved with replacing them. these can be quite expensive I have found. Shop for these parts before bidding on the laptop that you wish to repair. Many parts are gemon to pretty much all laptops like memory or even the hard drive itself. It is the propritary parts and pieces that will drive the overall cost of the laptop up.
There are also othe parts that fall into this category such as non-standard AC power adapters.
Make sure you understand these costs before bidding on any laptop. If the laptop gees with some sort of Windows installed then you will be assured that the hard drive and caddy are present.
