Harley Davidson at Half the COST !

How to get on a ride at HALF the Cost !
Everybody is always looking for the best deal possible to purchase a Harley. Harley dealerships are great suppliers, however it is hard for many people to gee up with asizeable down payment and then look forward to those monthly payments. You will see alot of used Harleys for sale on E bay and of course, most folks selling are great people. Occasionaly I have ran into a scam and when purchasing a big ticket item, such as a Harley,it can be your ultimate nightmare.
The 3400.00 Dollar Sportster
I was surfing around on E bay one pleasant afternoon, doing what a good Harley hand does.Looking for bargains. Ran across a Sporty for 3400.00
I much prefer the big inch iron, but Hey ! We are talking a Harley for 3400.00. Now I figure what can possibly be wrong with this deal ? Have I discovered another half ass scam to rip someone a new one ?
Read the ad closely and the bike was an insurance total with light damage to tank, front fender, forks tweaked etc. Pics and description were pretty good so what the hell !! Throw caution to the wind and bid on the crippled beast. I can turn a wrench and do some paint and body work.
Won the bike and give the guy a call. Seems like a good person. Tell him I did not have any way to haul the bike home. He says he will deliver the bike if I pay his gas money. He pulls up in my driveway that evening and we unload the bike.
Damage was just as described in ad. Fire the bike up and it runs like a top. He has already taken care of the title,no salvage title,he has a good clean rebuild title ready to go.Now I have a 2000 model 1200 custom Sportster with low miles setting in my garage, purchased for WAY less than 4000.00. Hey the story only gets better folks !
He goes back to his truck and shows me the new parts that he thought the bike might need. Dave brought em with him in case I would like to buy em ! I even got a great deal on many of the parts needed to get the bike back into show room condition.
The wrenching begins.......
Sure enough the the front forks have bent tubes. They need replaced. Bought them off Dave for 150.00
Front fender was sure enough wadded up far beyond my level of restoration. Bought it from Dave for 29.00
I wanted to replace the stock handle bar controls with the bright shiny new chrome. Bought from Dave 160.00
I will not bore you with any additinal details. End result is I had a great bike for way less than 4000.00. I forgot, went ahead and put a new rear tire on it also.
I want a Harley too........
All the bikes pictured at the top of this guide are bikes I purchased from Dave. Here is why I have purchased numerous bikes.
Had the Sporty done and my neighbor sees it and I tell him the story. He just HAS to have it.
People see the bike and he tells the bikes history and what he paid for it. They geea callingand guess what.. I want a HARLEY Too....
Fatigue and OLD age.......
Well, lets sum it up like this, so far I have purchased half a dozen bikes from my new friend and it seems there is no end in sight to my restorations.
Word has got out and I have had folks from all over purchased the bikes which I have given a new life and a face lift.
Love to help get people up on a sled, but HEY ! I am an old man and I am getting weary of supervising my wife as she rebuilds bikes. (humor kinda)
I know many people out there would love to get a good deal on a Harley and wouldnt mind doing a little work to save thousands of dollars in costs.
Here is the SECRET !
My friend is located in Morris Oklahoma. Lives out in the woods. He and his father are about the nicest people you will ever meet in this lifetime.
He is an E Bay power seller with 99.9 positive feedback rating. The guy is a Harley hand deluxe. He builds his own sleds and will always answer any questions I have when I get hung up when wrenching. Dude will ALWAYS answer the phone.
He is on E Bay as countrysidedave I would give you more info on him if I thought it would be allowed in this guide. Feel free to drop me a message if you would like more information. I will do my best to get you hooked up.
Please take a moment and give this guide a positive vote if you have found it informative.
Thanks for taking your time to read guide and drop me a message if you have any Harley questions. I cannoy say I can answer any and all questions, but I can refer you to someone who can.
